Rosetta Connect is software that grocery stores and markets (“the store”) use to run their business: point of sale, inventory, ordering, scheduling, hiring and team messages. This policy explains what information Rosetta Connect handles, why, and your choices. If you work for, or applied to, a store that uses Rosetta Connect, the store decides how your information is used for your job; we process it on the store's behalf. Rosetta Connect is provided by Rosetta Retail LLC, a Florida limited liability company (“we”, “us”).
What we collect
- Account details: name, email address, mobile phone number, and your role at the store.
- Work records: schedules, clock-in and clock-out times, time off, pay rate, and messages sent in the app.
- Job applications: what you enter on a store's application form, and any résumé you attach.
- New-hire paperwork (if you're hired): personal details, emergency contact, tax withholding (Form W-4), work eligibility (Form I-9), and bank details for direct deposit. Social Security numbers, tax forms, ID details and bank details are stored encrypted, and only the store's owners who run payroll can see them.
- Location, only when you clock in or out with the Rosetta Team app, to confirm you're at the store. Location is not tracked at any other time.
- Technical information: sign-in records and which device was used, to keep accounts secure.
How it's used
- To run the store's work tools: schedules, time clock, payroll hours, hiring and onboarding, and team messages.
- To send you notifications you chose (email, text message, or app alerts) about your work or your application.
- To keep the service secure and working, and to meet legal requirements (for example, employment records).
Text messages and mobile numbers
Texts are only sent if you agree to them, and you can stop at any time by replying STOP. Mobile numbers and text-message consent are never sold, rented or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. They're shared only with the phone-messaging provider that delivers the texts. Details are in the Text Message Terms.
Who else handles information
We don't sell personal information. We use a small number of service providers to run Rosetta Connect, each only for its job:
- Hosting and database (Vercel and Neon).
- Email delivery (Resend) and text-message delivery (Twilio).
- AI features (Anthropic), which help store managers with inventory and read supplier invoices. These features use store business data such as sales and stock, not employees' tax, ID or bank details.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
How long it's kept
- Rejected job applications are deleted automatically after one year.
- Employment records (including I-9s) are kept as long as the law requires, then the store can delete them.
- Everything else is kept while the store uses Rosetta Connect, or until the store deletes it.
Your choices
- Choose which notifications you get, and how, under My account → Notifications.
- Reply STOP to any text to stop texts.
- Ask the store to see, correct or delete your information, or contact us at support@rosettaconnectapp.com and we'll pass your request on.
Security
Information is sent over encrypted connections; the most sensitive details are also encrypted where they're stored. Access is limited by role, and looking at sensitive details is logged.
Children
Rosetta Connect is for workplaces. Workers under 18 may use it as employees of a store, with the store responsible for their records; it isn't meant for children under 14.
